Battle Report
Earth Alliance (4225 pts.) vs. Minbari Federation (1926)
EA Force: 1 Hyperion, 2 Novas
Minbari Force: 1 Sharlin

I know this is a really lopsided battle. There should probably be 6
Sharlins. This was just a test. Only 4 maps used (small table)

Turn 1: Sharlin won initiative over all EA ships. Moves strait down map,
centerlining Hyperion. Novas pull off to the sides. All Earth ships went
full defensive EW. Hyperion hit lost 2 Interceptors, a Retro, about 40%
of forward structure.
Turn 2: Sharlin lost initiave to all three cruisers. Hyperion closed to
a range of 2 hexes. Moderate damage to front and sides of Sharlin.
Hyperion hit by 10 fusion cannons and 2 neutron cannons, destroying her
and taking the lives of 212 brave warriors.
Turn 3: Sharlin lost initiative again. Tried to escape fire arc of Nova
1, but the two ships ended up broadsiding each other. Nova 2 swung in
behind the Sharlin. Sixteen medium lasers hit the bonehead cruiser,
taking out most of the port structure (somehow they completely missed
all those fusion cannons), all of the aft structure and fusion cannons.
The Novas lost 2 Dual Lasers each, and suffered some minor damage.

    Decided to end battle, since the Sharlin wouldn't have any aft
thrusters or  aft weapons next turn, and it's port side was about to
fall off.

Nova Analysis: Be very careful when moving this thing. If you decide to
turn, you  probably won't be able to change speeds w/o shutting
something off. Keep it around speed 5. Anything higher than 6 and she
won't be able to turn. The Dual Lasers can really hurt a ship, if you
are close enough and roll ok. With bad damage rolls, they are about as
dangerous as a Particle Beam. The turrets can't take much damage; it
only took a single Fusion Cannon hit to knock out each of them.

Note: The Hyperion was just there for cannon fodder. It did it's job
well. Two of the Sharlin's Neutron Cannons hit her when she had about 15
pts. of Primary Structure left and no front.
