I have fought one battle with multiple Sharlins. We played a four player game as follows: Player One and two shared 2 Sharlins and 12 Nials. Player three and four shared 6 Primus battle cruisers and 24 Sentris. It was an uneven battle from start to finish. The Primus got cut up real bad at first, but 24 battle lasers really HURT when they are all fired at the same ship. The targetted Sharlin was blown into itty bitty bits. Only 13 (give or take two) lasers hit, but man, watching a Sharlin simply come apart was quite scary. The Sentris were out and out slaughtered by the Nials, but managed to keep the Minbari fighters occupied for a turn or so while the Primus' manouevred for their shots. We got this ominous feeling when the Centauri players didn't fire a single laser in the first turn, and both of us were wondering which of our ships would be the first to die. The end result of the battle was a Centauri victory, but at a heavy cost. Two Primus' completely destroyed (well, very very broken), three with heavy damage. All Centauri fighters were smushed and the Nials took heavy damage attacking the Centauri because of those damn twin arrays (I hates them I does)... On another note, for a very even battle try the Primus vs the G'Quon. Great battle. Although add in fighters and the Narn tend to come out on top more often than not. At least in my experience. "You're firing how many lasers at me?" "24" "You sure you got enough dice man?" ---------- > From: Jamie Coleman > To: babylon5-wars@CSUA.Berkeley.EDU > Subject: Re: [B5W]: Keeping the Minbari Strong > Date: Monday, 13 July 1998 23:55 > > From: Rob_Prior@nynet.nybe.on.ca (Rob Prior) > > > Personally, I'd rather keep the Minbari as strong as portrayed in the > > show, rather than weaken them for 'balanced' tournaments.
