Tourney rules except for 2500 per side BPV. new BPVs were used. MINBARI Force: 3 Tinashi's and a flight of 4 flyers NARN Force: i GQuon, 2 Rongoth, 12 Frazi's in 2 flights. Duration: 5 turns in 2.5 hours. Results: At the end of turn 5, the Gquon has left side gone, right side hanging by 2 structure and 26 primary structure left but all forward and aft weapons. One rongoth was dead the other relatively healthy. 5 frzis remained. Every tinashi had some damage, one very significantly but no sides lost and only 5 neutron cannons and 11 fusions remained. Flyers were untouched. Decisive Minbari Victory. Analysis: The new jammer-off rule gives the typical tinashi 5 more power per turn raising its free power to 15 without turning off a single fusion. The minbari in this game maneuvered well, avoided closing and fired fusions every turn. OUCH. However the frazis die rolls were abominable (4 turns of shooting with rolls of 17, 19, 16, 20, 18, 10, 19, 20... ouch... hitting with a grand total of 15 guns during the game) and that affected the outcome. Editorial Comment: The SJ rules we worked with used no power back from the jammer. perhaps with 5 more power its jammerless bpv is a little low. possibly 750 was the minbari players opinion. Synopsis... Turn one the Narn ships were speed 9 and the minbari went to 12. the frazis accelerated to 18. Fire from ships commenced at range 31. Rongoths were FULL DEFENSIVE. The Minbari were full offensive 13 at a rongoth. Rongoth was destroyed by 7 of 9 neutron hits and about 5 fusion hits even with intercept fire. GQuon hit a tinashi with both lasers causing some damage, mostly to structure and thruster tho 1 neutron cannon was killed. One Emine hit the tinashi for 10. Turn 2 saw the tinashis maneuver onto the extra mapo away from the narns who continued to close. The tinashis put 13 ew at the fighters. Frazis got as close as range 9 and fired but missed. 6 fusions fired killing one frazi and damaging 2. Flyers had no shots. Turn 3 saw the tinashis move away and turn down with ew half at fighters and half defensive. Frazis decelerated to 15 and maneuvered to a range 1 shot on the rear of a tinashi. flyers had no shots. Rongoth turned in. Gquon continued to close obliquely. 1 emine hit a tinashi for 20. 4 fusions hit fighters killing 2 and wounding another. Rongoth fired and hit with a single cannon doing 3 15pt pulses to a tinashi. Frazis rolled abyssmally hitting with only 6 guns or so. Turn 4 saw the tinashis go mostly offensive at the gquon and 1 for the fighters. Gquon maneuvered befor etinashis but magnaged to turn in without allowing them frontal shots. Frazis kept pacing tinashis and landed range 2 shot. Rongoth moved in for closer shot. Neutron cannon and fuzion fire wiped the left side off the gquon and came within 6 boxes of finishing it off. Frazis rolled badly again hitting with 5 shots. twin fire damaged tinashi. Turn 5 saw the gquon move turn and start/stop pivot and manage to give tinashis right side but keep them in arc. Tinashis closed anyway and fired centerlined fusions at gquon. Rongoth did a rear blow by firing all four rear guns at point blank. Frazis paced tinashis but again rolled badly. All lasers , pulses and twins hit a tinashi hurting it but not peeling off a front. The massed fusion fire struck and took the side down to 2 boxes of structure on the gquon. Sigh... I realize this is not a long ranting babble about this missile ship or some such and might actually be interesting to soem, sorry if this shocks anyone!
