We played two games (couldn't pry the Warhammer types away from their tables... grrrr). I won them both... In the first game, EA Hyperion (Robert Hartenstine) v. Minbari Tinashi (me), the Hyperion got a few good hits in (including nuking the jammer, grrrr). I made a few mistakes tactically, but lady luck was on my side and the Earther ended up running.... However, when the Hyperion fired it's Lasers, Rob and I got into an arguement over whether or not you roll for location for the entire hit (he scored a primary hit location before I tried to correct him that it is by volley, not by shot for location). We agreed to seek an official ruling from Bruce, so.... During the second game we had our local Ranger participate. It was his first time even looking at the game (he liked it, helped that he was on the winning side). The battle was Narn (Rob) v. Centauri (me and Doug). On the Narn side, 2 G'Quons and 4 Flights of Frazis. On the Centauri side 2 Primus Class Battlecruisers, 4 Flights of Sentris and 1 Vorchan. The more I think about it, Rob should have added a T'Loth to balance out our forces more (we set an approxamately 3000 pt cap, and got to pick our own fleets). In the first round Rob scored a direct hit on one flight of Sentris with an e-mine. Later he nailed the rear of my Vorchan with 99 pts worth of damage from a flight of Frazis. THANK THE GODS FOR ARMOR! One round later, Rob had to leave to get home, and since Doug and I had been pounding on him and were rolling a hell of a lot better, he conceded defeat. Additionally, on Tuesday, Dream Wizards recieved a shipment of approx. 6 NCW. By Wednesday only 2 remained.... (yes, I got mine). Which brings me to a product idea.... and I know it has already been mentioned, but here is my take on it. A supplement, released every few products or so, that would contain the latest Errata, FAQ, SCSes for the Ships of the Month released since the last product of this type, 3 hex-map sheets (lettered G-H-I, J-K-L, etc), and counters (more stuff for previous products, plus counters for the SOMs). Additionally, and I have mentioned this to Bruce, how about a support group similiar to the Rangers for the B5 CCG? Nick
