The Octurian had all its EW on off vs the Nova (EW being worthless vs fighters, and missles couldnt launch yet). This proved to be what we consider the key tatical decision of the fight, as while this let the Octurian hit the Nova with 15 of 22 TA shots, both BL's in Piercing mode, and 1 MC, it did mean that all of the Starfurys unloaded into the Octurians front, along with 7 of the Novas ML's, which managed to strip the forward structure completely. The Nova was down to like 9 forward structure after it was all done. The question is: Would you hit the fighters with the TA's? Why or why not? How about concentrating all the Centauri fighters on the TB's or the Nova? The result was that the Octurion lost its right side the next turn to 7 more ML's and 12 missles, I lost most of my Auroras, and the TBs helped the Nova clean up the fighters. The Nova didnt even lose a side, which tells us the Centauri player screwed up bad. Im just looking for suggestions to improve his tactics. Second question: Theres repeated mentions of a different sheet for the TB's? Is this something I can get or would I have had to sign an NDA first? :) Thanks, Jared Buntain chandley@nwu.edu
