I tried my first game using the Narn Battle-turn as I call it. We had a 5000 point game yesterday and for 4 turns I held my own against Cenatuir but was actually in excellent position to kick some major ass when we quit. Assuming you do average on init rolls and you are playing with secret EW until the fire phase it seems to work really well. Keep in mind I am an EA player though. In our battle it was Centauri vs. Narn. Forces were: Centauri- 1 Octurion 2 Primus 2 Vorchan 6 Flights of Sentris Narn- 1 Bin'Tak 2 G'Quon 1 T'Loth 1 Dag'Kar 3 Flights of Frazis Basically for the Battle turn only the Gquon's are important. I set up one G'Quon on each side of the Bin'Tak. The G'Quons were directly across from a Primus each. **************** P1 P2 G1 B G2 **************** I have Gquon2 target Primus1 with 5 EW and I have Gquon1 target Primus2 with 5 EW. When it comes time for me to move (starting speed of 5) they fly a cross pattern. Because the opponent is trying so hard to centerline the opposing G'Quons with his lined up Primuses he will put most EW on the G'Quons opposite them. When I do the battle-turn his shots go into my sides and my Heavy Lasers are at much less risk of being hit. I also will be nailing his Primuses on the side aspect so I have a chance to knock off the Battle Lasers on the sides. The move works well. If I had better coordinated with My T'Loth I could taken out a Primus on turn One. When we ended the game, Primus1 had lost its front and port side completely and Primus2 had also lost a complete side. Damage was moderate on my Gquons.
