Game #1 (Narn vs Centauri) Centauri (me): 1xDargan 12xRutarian 2xAltarian 12xSentri Narn: 1xG'Quan 12xFrazi 1xDag'Kar 3xThentus Summary: I died horribly. And no real tactical problems, either. It was that, in the presence of that many emines, my fighters could not get close enough to his ships to damage them. I lost an entire flight of Rutarians and got heavy damage to an Altarian turn 1 (ion torps SUCK!!! DIE!! DIE!!) Report: Turn 1: Closed range, my ships all at speed 6, Rutes at 9, Sentris at 12. Narn ships all moving 10. Full defensive EW, managed to shoot down 3 ion torps (of 3). 4 well-placed emines made me very grumpy, though. Turn 2: Narn fires twins, Frazis, ineffective. I fire matter cannons from Altarians, and battle lasers, and twins all at lead Thentus. All weapons hit, removes front (barely). Turn 3: 3 turns of ion torp fire has now removed the front of an Altarian. Frazis have wasted a flight of Rutarians and Sentri (problem is with Frazis is, IF they hit, they will vaporize any Centauri fighter hit). Rutarians proving USELESS against enemy Thentus, can hardly do any damage with the ion bolt. Turn 4: Combo of Heavy Lasers and Med. lasers removed the front of my Dargan, and damages its side. At this point, as the Narn has 3 completely untouched ships, and only minimal damage to the G'Quan, and 2/3 of my forces are paralyzed, I concede the game. Conclusion: The Dargan and the Rutarian are HIDEOUSLY overpriced. Both playes agreed on this - they simply cost too much! Also, we both agree the Dag'Kar is well worth its value - it is so disruptive it is not even funny - no wonder it costs more than a G'Quan!! Fairly good ship, though. Should be an HCV. --Alex F _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
