The animosity between these two races was bitter and deep. The results of the war, loss of families, friends, homes, and other precious things only served to heat the anger. As the war started drawing to its inevitable conclusion, the battles became suicidally violent. Fighter flights would fight to the last pilot. Ground troops would fight to the last person. Ships would fight until they ran out of weapons, then they would ram the enemy. But, to no avail. Finally, the Centauri pushed the Narn back so far they could hardly resist anymore. The Narn did stage a very large counter-attack, which was almost successful. They planned on raiding a Centauri staging area near their border where they could pick up supplies enough to make a suicide attack on the Centauri outer colonies. Unfortunately, the Centauri intelligence was too good, and found out about their plans. Player #1 (Narn): 6 G'Quan class heavy cruisers: G'Gilast, G'Quan, T'nalor, G'Hila, G'trinone, G'Ton 72 Frazi heavy fighters (12 each cruiser). 4 T'Loth class assault cruisers: T'joir, T'youre, G'fourle, T'fedar 48 Frazi heavy fighters (12 each cruiser). 4 Civilian supply freighters (carrying war supplies) 2 Civilian luxury liners (carrying troops) Player #2 (Centauri): 4 Primus Battlecruisers: Couro Imperia, Denaron, Centauri Prido, Centarum 16 Vorchan cruisers: War Wind, Death Wind, Fire Wind, Blood Wind, Winged Avenger, Winged Vengeance, Winged Fire, Winged Death, Vulture, Hawk, SkyClaw, Skyfire, StarFire, Bolt, Raze, Scorched Stars 48 Sentri medium fighters (4 on each Primus) 84 Sentri medium fighters (based on a nearby planet). Game Set-up Lay out the six map sheets as follows: A B C D E F Narn Player All ships set up as a convoy. Half of the fighters have been deployed already, and are patrolling around the convoy. The convoy arrives from the left side of the "A" map, heading "C", speed 5. Centauri Player The Centauri player sets up his forces from hex rows 25xx to 30xx, any facing, speed 0. All fighters based off the ships are in their hangar, all ground based fighters are patrolling around the ships at a speed of 5. Other Forces 1 jump gate Sets up on the "C" map, center hex. Victory Conditions The Narn players wins if he can destroy all of the Centauri capital ships and get at least one T'Loth or luxury liner past the Centauri blockade. The Centauri players wins if he can prevent the Narn player from winning, or can destroy all Narn capital ships (except those that disengage past the blockade). Optional Rules If players choose to use the player-created mine rules, the Centauri can have a minefield in exchange for several of their ships (players option - density of minefield determined by point value of ships lost). Special Rules General: none. Ramming is allowed. Comments This ends up being an intense melee. The Narn player should pick a number of his ships to protect and try to get them through the blockade. Once they are through, the rest of the Centauri ships can be dealt with better (with less distraction). The Centauri should just have fun destroying any thing that moves and is Narn By: Alex Fulton
