This will later be a mini-campaign. It is a EarthForce vs. Raiders with small twists. Enjoy. Babylon 5 Wars Scenario By David Peters Name: McDowells Maggots (EarthForce vs. Raiders) After the Earth-Minbari, alot of the personnel in EarthForce were not satisfied with the conclusion of the War. Several high ranking officers felt the Minbari had other motives for ending the war. Shamus McDowell a highly decorated EarthForce fighter pilot was one these officers who was not comfortable about opening negotiations with the Minbari. Shamus was also highly bigoted about the other alien races that dealt with Earth. Shamus and several of his squadron members left EarthForce. They were later approached by a group of business men who wanted to create a situation near a certain region of space that was several alien races had their shipping lanes. They wanted EarthForce to lose face even more by disrupting the shipping in that area since EF patrolled Earth's borders in that area. This is about two years after the Earth-Minbari war, EarthForce was in the process of rebuilding their fleet. They had assembled a small task force of ships and fighters to dealing with the raiders. One of the EarthForce patrols ran into McDowells Maggots after they had just completed a raid on were their way to rendezvous with their transport ships in hyperspace near a seldom used Jump Gate. EarthForce: 6 Star Furies Raider Forces: 12 Raider Fighters Map Layout: Layout the mapsheets as follows. A B C D E F A fixed Jump Gate is to be placed in the center of the map. The Star Furies are placed within two hexes of the jump point, they just came through the jump point at speed 4. The Raiders setup at map edges A and D at speed 6. Victory Conditions: Raider Victory: The Raiders win if they can destroy all Starfuries or exit through the Jump Gate on turn 19. EarthForce Victory: The EarthForce Player wins if he can destroy all the Raiders and prevent them from going through the Jump Gate. Special Rules: The Jump Gate cannot be used for 19 turns because the Star Furies just arrived through the gate. One Raider fighter has a Level 2 Pilot which is Shamus McDowell. Optional Rules: No ramming is allowed. Try using the pilot ejection rule for this scenario it should make it more interesting as both sides will try to capture or rescue pilots. Comments: This is a typical shootout with EarthForce and the Raiders, but with a group of Raiders that is trying to give Earthforce a very hard time.
