Just so everyone knows - I had an idea for another scenario as well (what, me, a scenario??? Never!!) Anyway, idea is: a Centauri Admiral discovers what the Regent has been doing with some of the fleet, and realizes he has been misled - his Empire actually has been the agressors. While his initial reaction is to try and destroy the marauding fleets, he decides it may be more reasonable to confron the Regent directly. His takes his fleet of older ships towards Centari Prime. However, as Drakh spies are everywhere, they find out and make the Regent send in an attack fleet. These consist of the newest and best Centauri ships, all under pod control. Battle Fleets: Loyalist: 1 Octurion (24 Raziks), 2 Altarians (12 Raziks), 1 Primus (12 Raziks) Regent: 2 Dargan (24 Rutarians), 6 Vorchans Map Setup: ABC DEF Just gate in 4215 Ship setup: Loyalist forces record jump in points (on maps A and B) and enter, any direction, speed 4 Regent forces set up after jump points recorded (but not revealed) Loyalist forces jump in. Victory Conditions: Well, the Loyalist forces are in trouble. Fortunately, the Admiral anticipated treachery. So, he can have transferred his flag to any ship before the battle begins. Further, he can launch in a fighter or shuttle from one ship to another and transfer his flag that way. At any rate, the Loyalist must record the location of the Admiral throughout the battle. The Captain of the Octurion is also favorable to the Admiral's cause and can represent him before the Centarum. For the loyalist to win, he has to get the captain or the Admiral off back into hyperspace. Note that the Admiral has wisely rigged the jump-gate before (he used to patrol this sector of space frequently) such that only his ships or fighters can activate the beacon. As the trip is very far to Centauri Prime, it has to be a ship that escapes - even if the Admiral escapes in a fighter he won't get far (thus, the Loyalist will not win). The Regent wins by killing the Captain AND the Admiral. Note that if either escape, it will be a draw at least. And, if one escapes with a ship, the Regent loses. --Alex F
