Rules Affecting New Characters

First, off, new characters in this campaign start off with 20,000 Experience Points, which the players may spend as they see fit. These Experience points are used for skills & magic, as well as converted to money for acquiring starting equipment.
Players are also allowed to choose which race their character belongs to, excluding Giants. I've always had... "architectural" problems with Giants.
It should be noted that I am using the economic system from Chivalry & Sorcery, 3rd Ed. These rule changes are also developed and used in conjunction with the changes to the combat system, so some skills may be unfamiliar.
