DragonQuest Campaign
One of my beliefs for fantasy RPGs is that many of the places, history, cultures, and mythos should draw upon what we find in our own world. These are, after all, what the players are familiar with, and they are attempting to play characters who grew up in and are familiar with the fantasy world of the game. It's often easiest if they can actually make use of some of their preconceptions about The Way Things Are. But then, it's also fun to turn those on their heads.
On these pages, I'm going to describe a bit about the current campaign, as well as lay out some general tips that I've found work well, from the player's perspective as well as the GM's.
I am currently running a DQ campaign with 6 players (3 to 6 is my prefered range). We just started it not too long ago, and have been coming up to speed with some new rules I put together.
