DBA
In DBA 2.0, the army list for the Sub-Roman British has changed to the following:
II/81. Sub-Roman British. 407AD - 945AD. Arable. Ag:1.
442-539AD with the 3Kn General gets my vote for Arthur. That was my starting point for my army, with my goal being to build a big battle DBA army.

The general's element. I replaced the standard pole with brass wire for durability. This element can count as 3Kn for the 442-539AD period. I thought the white horses and the red cloaks would help distinguish this element a little more. After all, it is the king and his companions. |

3Cv elements. I painted these guys with the yellowish-brown cloaks that seem to be standard for the late Romans. Shield designs were a mixture of Roamn and Christian designs, featuring the Chi-Rho and variations on the cross. |

The infantry (4Ax or 4Sp) - cavalry (2LH) option. I also drilled out both hands on the LH for javelins. |

The infantry is mounted as 3Sp. If the poses had been more static, I sould have gone 4 figs per base and gotten more of a shieldwall effect. Magnets on the bottom of each stand allow me to sabot the base depth and use the same elements as Ax. |

Psiloi. I chose to use javelin rather than bow armed infantry. I don't get the impression that archery was a factor on the battlefield. |
