This is a pattern I have made myself, and have made some changes to as I go, I won't be able to post an exact pattern, but I can tell you how I went about he process of designing this. It is still very much a work in progress, but it will be very special when it is finally completed.

The bodice is going to be a sweater made out of a thread slightly lighter then sport weight, with the star stitch. I will post directions for the stitch, and when I have the top finished will post the pattern I used.

The skirt is made of the same thread, and mostly out of star motifs- 6 sided stars that fit togehter nicely. at the waistline fo the skirt I am using pineapples to allow for it to become full in a small space, and also so the tips will fit into the first row of stars. at the hem of the skirt I plan to put flowers, most likely with beads crocheted into them.

Choosing the thread was a long process fo finding samples of various threads and yarns in approximately the size I wanted, till I found one that was just perfect- it is from WEBS naturals line. Webs is a source of many mill end yarns as well as having a special line of their own products. The specific thread i chose is their bleached mercerized cotton in a 5/2 twist. It is slightly thinner then most sport weight yarns and I making the dress with my trusteee size G Brittany hook.

I will add pictures and additional information as I can to this page.
