Flower Fridgie

my new flower fridgie design is a simple one, yet can look very different depending on yarn and tension!

I have been working these out of worsted yarn and a g hook, use one color, and a coordinating green in small amounts. they could be worked smaller in a different yarn and corresponding hook.

ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook, join.
ch 4,*sc in next sc, ch3* 5 times, join with 1st ch of ch 4
in each ch 3 space work the first type of petal:
---sc, hdc,dc,hdc,sc
after last petal, join sc to first sc of first petal, then sl st in back to the sc that the ch 3 was part of. * ch5, sl st in next sc of that row* repeat till joining with first sl st
In each ch 5 repeat petal level 2:
--sc, hdc,dc,tr,tr,dc,hdc,sc
join last sc with first sc, end off!

Attach green for petal at center of flower in the rear, ch 10 or more (depends on size of flower and size of your chains), then st st in the second chain from the end. then ch 7. sc in second chain from hook, then hdc, dc, dc, hdc, sc, then sl st in the rest of the original chain. End off with long end, then use this end to sew the stem to the back of the flower so it lays flat.
