Flexible Processing Line Module #30546
The Flexible Processing Line Module contains 60mm wide conveyor belts and
three workstations, which include a drill press unit, a vertical boring
machine with three different heads, and a horizontal milling machine. An
infrared sensor is located at the start of the conveyor belt to detect for
a part entering the module. The first station is a drill press operation.
The next is a vertical boring machine which has a three position tool changing
turret head. The final station is a Horizontal milling machining station.
Conveyor belts are used to move a work piece along to each workstation,
where an infrared sensor detects if the part is in place. The required machining
operation can then be simulated. When all of the operations are completed,
the part is ejected off the end of the conveyor belt, or onto the next module
in the system.
